Throughout this course I have learned so much information in regards to our planet. I have learned about how harmful global warming truly is, how seasons occur, how the rock cycle occurs and the dating of rocks has allowed us to figure out the age of earth, etc. I’ve also acquired some great skills from the course such as how to properly read and make maps, how to collaborate with my classmates, and how to speak up and ask questions when necessary.

 

Since this was my first online class I really didn’t know what to expect coming into it. I was scared that it was going to be too hard but really hoped that I would get through it with ease. It turns out that it wasn’t too difficult, as long as I didn’t let myself fall behind. There were times were I procrastinated doing my work and had to complete several assignments all in a day, which was pretty stressful. I didn’t think it was going to take as much work as it did, but I’m proud of all the work I completed.

 

I have learned so much from this course on topics that I already thought I knew much about, such as global warming and climate change. I think this was one of the biggest eye openers out of the whole class. It was mind boggling to think of all the damage us humans have caused to our planet. What’s crazy is that we still continue to do so every day! I think the reason for this is because people really don’t understand what climate change really is, just as I didn’t. I’m sure if everyone had the knowledge which I have now after taking this course, about what climate change is and what the true effects of it are, we would definitely see a change in people’s everyday lives.

 

Overall, there wasn’t anything that was too difficult about this class. The only advice I have to give anyone who plans on taking this course in the future is to stay on top of all your work and don’t wait last minute to start on your assignments, trust me!
