Discussion 3: Analysis and Interpretation of Physical Geography Patterns

For this assignment we were asked to find a credible map of a specific physical phenomena. Once we found our map we were asked to post it on the discussion board and have other students comment on them. I had to comment on two other student's maps as well. Initially, I found myself to be really nervous when I started this assignment because this was one of the first assignments where I interacted with my classmates, so it was a really new experience for me. However, I was still able to complete it. This was the map I found:

The map shows the drought that has been taking place in the U.S. In the maps I replied to I had to state what I believed the geographic pattern was and decribe why I believed this pattern was occuring and I also had to ask a research question. One of the maps I replied to was in regards to El Niño and the other map was in regards to the change in global temperature of the Earth over the past 100 years. This assignment gave me the opportunity to ask questions and interact with my fellow classmates. I think I did rather well on the discussion overall.
