Lithosphere Hazard

For this assignment, we were asked to choose a natural hazard that had negative effects on people. Once we chose our hazard we were to make a map set that showed the same hazard at three different scales. We were to start with a local scale, then zoom out to a regional scale, and lastly, zoom out to a global scale. We were asked to write a descriptive paragraph for each map. In the descriptive paragraphs we were asked to talk about what we believed the hazard patter to be, the process as to why and how the hazards happened, and solutions to either prevent or prepare for the hazard. I chose to do my map sets on earthquakes.

I decided to choose earthquakes due to living in California, we are still due for "the big one". I learned a lot as to why earthquakes happen ann where they are most prone to happening. It was pretty scary realizing how many disastrous have occurred over the past hundred years. I think I did very well on this assignment, I learned how to really evaluate maps and how hazardous patterns occur.
